Background:
Chennai, the Capital of Tamil Nadu and the Gateway to Southern India, was once a village of the fishing community called Madraspatnam..
In 1639, some British merchants of East India Company decided to stay here and the place developed. Today it is one of the fourth largest city in India.
Located on the 17 km long Coramandal coast, it has beachs, parks, film Studios, temples and also a wild life sanctuary in the heart of the city.
